Wealth ? The W relating to Money and Finance
- Money is of course a form of exchange, but it is only an idea, a medium, a concept.
- What is interesting is not the money but what money can do for us.
- Money can provide many things, the most important of which is: more options.
- The way to wealth is to Love People and Use Money and never the other way around.
- Wealth has two components: What you Earn (Income) & What you Own (Net Worth).
Wellness ? The W relating to Holistic Health
- Health comes in many forms, not just physical, but also mental, emotional & spiritual health.
- Spiritual is the primary health zone, then emotional, then mental then physical.
- There are a number of aspects to understanding and gaining total wellness.
- It is the foundation to all areas of success. Without wellness, all else is useless.
- All wellness begins and ends with peace of mind.
Work ? The W relating to Career
- A career is not the same as a job, but rather a linked series of productive endeavours.
- Most people are unhappy at work in some major area (e.g. boss, job content, location).
- The most common time for suicide is Monday Mornings between 8-9AM. Coincidence?
- A major career objective for everyone should be: Do What You Love & Love What You Do.
- If this aspect of life remains unattended, it adversely affects all other areas disproportionately.
Who You Interact With ? The W relating to Relationships
- The best things in life really are free, including the mutual love of your family and friends.
- Upon our deathbed, it?s spending insufficient time with family & friends that is our biggest regret.
- Fact: On the whole, married men live happier, longer & healthier lives than single men.
- Improving the quality and effectiveness of our communication should be a daily goal.
- If everyone worked to reduce misunderstandings & inflexibility, most wars could be avoided.
Who You Really Are ? The W relating to Your True Self
- This is our essence - who we really are when we are silently alone with the lights out.
- Meditation is the pathway to revealing and nourishing this inner self.
- Many of our habits do not always serve us well. Some should be abandoned for better ones.
- Beliefs and values are 90% formed by the time we are 14 ? we don?t really change after that.
- Our results in life are largely determined by our own self-image: how is yours?
General:
? All aspects of our life are covered by these 5W?s. Many by more than one.
? When we set any goals or measure our success, it relates to one or more of these W?s.
? The first 4W?s in the list largely serve to feed and enable us to realise the 5th W (True Self).
? We make trade-offs among these 5W?s every day ? but do we do so with real awareness?
Exercise:
- Score yourself (0-10*) in each of these areas based on where you are right now [A].
- Score yourself (0-10*) on where you would like to be in 18 months [B].
- Success is the continuous journey to close the gap between A & B in all 5 areas. Enjoy it!
Note: Many people believe that a career in MLM can increase these scores and close the aspiration gaps better than most others ? something to think about!
* 0 = horrible, rock bottom, could not get any worse; 10 = terrific, wonderful, could not be any better
