1. Be the kind of person who others can look up to and who never looks down on others.

3. Note that if you go out in life looking for friends, they will be scarce. If you go out in life to be a friend, you'll find them everywhere, because what you send out is exactly what you get back.

4. Remember the basic principle of success: You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.

5. Read Dale Carnegie's old, but still very powerful book: HOW TO WIN FRIENDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE.

6. Watch the leaders in your family, school, network, company, etc. Observe how they deal with other people and how they make others feel important by becoming good-finders and encouragers.

7. Learn from the ladies. Women are far more relationship-oriented than men. Watch how they interact with others. . . .
